Julia A. ANDERSON, Plaintiff-Appellant,
v.
MEAD JOHNSON NUTRITIONAL GROUP, BRISTOL-MYERS SQUIBB
COMPANY, Defendant-Appellee.No. 96-5240.
United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit.
Feb. 25, 1997.
1Plaintiff, Julia A. Anderson, appeals from an order of the district court granting summary judgment to defendant, Mead Johnson Nutritional Group, Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. She appeals only from that portion of the order disposing of her claim based upon race discrimination.
2Having had the benefit of oral argument, and having carefully considered the record on appeal and the briefs of the parties, we are not persuaded that the district court erred in granting summary judgment to defendant.
3Because the reasoning that supports judgment for defendant has been articulated by the district court, the issuance of a detailed written opinion by this court would be duplicative and serve no useful purpose. Accordingly, the judgment of the district court is affirmed upon the reasoning employed by that court in its Memorandum Opinion filed on January 8, 1996.
*The Honorable Thomas B. Russell, United States District Judge for the Western District of Kentucky, sitting by designation
