(ECF Nos. 12, 13) 16 DEADLINE: MARCH 27, 2023 17 18 On February 28, 2023, Plaintiff filed a notice of settlement. (ECF No. 12.) On March 1, 19 2023, the Court issued an order requiring the parties to file dispositional documents on or before 20 March 21, 2023. (ECF No. 13.)1 The deadline to file dispositional documents has now expired 21 and the parties have not done so, nor requested an extension of time from the Court. 22 Local Rule 110 provides that “[f]ailure of counsel or of a party to comply with these Rules 23 or with any order of the Court may be grounds for imposition by the Court of any and all 24 sanctions … within the inherent power of the Court.” The Court has the inherent power to 25 control its docket and may, in the exercise of that power, impose sanctions where appropriate, 26 including dismissal of the action. Bautista v. (ECF No. 13.) 1 | 2000). 2 The Court shall require the parties to show cause why sanctions should not issue for the 3 | failure to file dispositional documents in compliance with the Court’s order issued March 1, 2023. 4 Accordingly, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that: 5 1. The parties shall show cause in writing no later than March 27, 2023, why 6 monetary sanctions should not issue for the failure to file dispositional 7 documents as required by the March 21, 2023, order; and 8 2. Failure to comply with this order will result in the issuance of sanctions. 9 10 IT IS SO ORDERED.
