FAILURE TO COMPLY 14 FIVE-DAY DEADLINE MIKE TAMANA FREIGHT LINES, LLC, 15 et al., 16 Defendants. 17 18 19 Plaintiff National Interstate Insurance Company initiated this action on December 29, 20 2020. (ECF No. 1.) On March 17, 2022, the parties submitted a notice of settlement. (ECF No. 21 20.) On March 18, 2022, the Court issued an order vacating all matters and requiring the parties 22 to file dispositional documents by April 7, 2022. (ECF No. 21.) The deadline to file 23 dispositional documents has passed, but nothing has been filed. 24 Local Rule 110 provides that “[f]ailure of counsel or of a party to comply with these Rules 25 or with any order of the Court may be grounds for imposition by the Court of any and all 26 sanctions . . . within the inherent power of the Court.” The Court has the inherent power to 27 control its docket and may, in the exercise of that power, impose sanctions where appropriate, 28 including dismissal of the action. Bautista v. Los Angeles Cnty., 216 F.3d 837, 841 (9th Cir. 1 | 2000). 2 The Court shall require the parties to show cause why monetary sanctions should not issue 3 | for the failure to file dispositional documents in compliance with its March 18, 2022 order. 4 Accordingly, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that: 5 1. The parties shall show cause in writing within five (5) days of the date of entry of 6 this order why monetary sanctions should not issue for the failure to file 7 dispositional documents as required by the March 18, 2022 order; and 8 2. Failure to comply with this order will result in the issuance of sanctions. 9 10 IT IS SO ORDERED.
