BASKIN, Judge. Severe and prejudicial limitations imposed by the court on defense counsel’s efforts to question witnesses during both direct and cross-examination concerning testimony elicited by the state deprived defendant Mantici of a fair trial and mandate reversal of his convictions. Morrell v. State, 335 So.2d 836 (Fla. 1st DCA 1976); Kirkland v. State, 185 So.2d 5 (Fla. 2d DCA 1966); Art. I, § 16, Fla.Const. (1968).
Reversed and remanded for a new trial.
