SALCINES, Judge. Michael Dewdney appeals his conviction for attempted second-degree murder following a jury’s verdict of guilt. We find no merit in his argument that the trial court erred in denying his motion for judgment of acquittal. Likewise, we find no error in his conviction for attempted second-degree murder which we continue to recognize as a viable offense. See Smith v. State, 761 So.2d 1172 (Fla. 2d DCA 2000). Accordingly, we affirm.
Affirmed.
CAMPBELL, A.C.J., and BLUE, J„ Concur.
