The deposition offered in evidence does not specify the place where taken, and for that reason it cannot be read; but I do not see why the party who wishes to use it may not be permitted to prove that it was taken at the place mentioned in the notice. And clearly the commissioner may now amend the caption by inserting the place.

He was present and did so, and the deposition was read.
