ECF No. 1. However, Wal-Mart did not identify the citizenship of each of 11 its members. See Johnson v. Columbia Properties Anchorage, LP, 437 F.3d 894, 899 (9th Cir. 12 2006) (stating that “an LLC is a citizen of every state of which its owners/members are 13 citizens”). I therefore cannot determine whether complete diversity exists. Consequently, I 14 order Wal-Mart to show cause why this action should not be remanded to state court. 15 Additionally, I strike Wal-Mart’s certificate of interested parties (ECF No. 3) because the 16 certificate does not identify Wal-Mart’s citizenship as required by Federal Rule of Civil 17 Procedure 7.1(a)(2). I also strike the plaintiffs’ certificate of interested parties (ECF No. 6) 18 because it also does not comply with Rule 7.1(a)(2). 19 I THEREFORE ORDER that defendant Wal-Mart Transportation, LLC shall show cause 20 why this action should not be remanded for lack of subject matter jurisdiction.
