[*1]The People of the State of New York, respondent,

    v

Calvin Norwood, appellant. (Ind. Nos. 780/15, 1277/15)

Janet E. Sabel, New York, NY (Katheryne M. Martone of counsel), for appellant.

John M. Ryan, Acting District Attorney, Kew Gardens, NY (John M. Castellano, Johnnette Traill, and Roni C. Piplani of counsel; Victoria Randall on the memorandum), for respondent.

    DECISION & ORDER

Appeals by the defendant, as limited by his motion, from two sentences of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Robert C. Kohm, J.), both imposed May 25, 2016, upon his pleas of guilty, on the ground that the sentences were excessive.

ORDERED that the sentences are affirmed.

The defendant's valid waiver of his right to appeal precludes appellate review of his contention that the sentences imposed were excessive (see People v Lopez, 6 NY3d 248, 255-256).

RIVERA, J.P., HINDS-RADIX, BRATHWAITE NELSON and IANNACCI, JJ., concur.
