In each of these four cases the defendant moved for a new trial upon voluminous affidavits on the ground of newly discovered evidence. The motions were heard and denied at Special Term, and on appeal to the General Term, the decision below was affirmed. There is a brief statement of the reasons for affirmation made by the court, all the judges concurring.
