CRIMINAL LAW/SENTENCING:
If a trial court imposes the maximum prison term, it must make a finding that gives its reasons for selecting the sentence. Further, under the new sentencing laws, merely discussing, in general terms, the victim's age or the appellant's criminal history is not a sufficient finding for imposing the maximum sentence.
