STEINMETZ, J.

(concurring). I write separately because the majority view of what "other crimes” evidence is relevant is too narrow. The "other crimes” evidence introduced in rebuttal was clearly thefts, and the crime charged here is a theft. The elements of the prior crimes matched the elements of the crime charged. There is no need for all the factual circumstances to match for admission of this evidence.

I would find that the trial court did not abuse its discretion in admitting such evidence on the issue of intent.
