Charles King, Defendant-Appellant. ____________________ Appeal from the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama D.C. Docket No. 2:18-cr-00317-AKK-SGC-1 ____________________ USCA11 Case: 20-12465 Document: 45-1 Date Filed: 01/03/2023 Page: 2 of 2 2 Opinion of the Court 20-12465 Before ROSENBAUM, JILL PRYOR, and ANDERSON, Circuit Judges. PER CURIAM: P. Russell Steen, appointed counsel for Charles King, III in this direct criminal appeal, has moved to withdraw from further representation of the appellant and filed a brief pursuant to Anders v. California,386 U.S. 738
(1967). Our independent review of the entire record reveals that counsel’s assessment of the relative merit of the appeal is correct. Because independent examination of the entire record reveals no arguable issues of merit, counsel’s motion to withdraw is GRANTED, and King’s conviction and sentence are AFFIRMED. King’s request for new counsel is DENIED AS MOOT.
