concurring.

I concur in the judgment of reversal, on the ground that the amount of the verdict is so grossly excessive as to force the conclusion that it is the result of prejudice on the part of the jury. In such a case a remittitur does not reach the Anee in the verdict. The only way to reach it is through a new trial.
