2019 NY Slip Op 08715 |
Decided on December 4, 2019 |
Appellate Division, Second Department |
Published by New York State Law Reporting Bureau pursuant to Judiciary Law § 431. |
This opinion is uncorrected and subject to revision before publication in the Official Reports. |
Eric Gonzalez, District Attorney, Brooklyn, NY (Leonard Joblove and Gamaliel Marrero of counsel; Robert Ho on the memorandum), for respondent.
Paul Skip Laisure, New York, NY (Benjamin Welikson of counsel), for appellant.
DECISION & ORDER
Appeals by the defendant, as limited by his motion, from two sentences of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Jill Hedy Konviser, J.), both imposed March 14, 2018, upon his pleas of guilty, on the ground that the sentences were excessive.
ORDERED that the sentences are affirmed.
The defendant's valid waiver of his right to appeal precludes appellate review of his contention that the sentences imposed were excessive (see People v Sanders, 25 NY3d 337; People v Ramos, 7 NY3d 737; People v Batista, 167 AD3d 69).
RIVERA, J.P., MALTESE, BARROS, BRATHWAITE NELSON and IANNACCI, JJ., concur.
