People v. Crawford

Judgment, Supreme Court, New York County (Arlene D. Goldberg, J.), rendered September 16, 2010, convicting defendant, upon his plea of guilty, of robbery in the first degree, and sentencing him, as a juvenile offender, to a term of 3 to 9 years, affirmed.

The court properly exercised its discretion in denying defendant youthful offender treatment (see People v Drayton, 39 NY2d 580 [1976]), particularly since, while awaiting sentencing, defendant failed to comply with a treatment program and committed another armed robbery. We perceive no basis for reducing the sentence.
