I agree, for the reasons stated in the majority opinion, that the case must be remanded for findings about whether defendant believed that she had been detained. *33Because a finding on remand that defendant, in fact, believed that she was not detained would end the matter, the balance of the majority’s opinion is dictum. I express no opinion about the majority’s — or the concurrence’s or the dissent’s — views about whether a reasonable person could feel detained under the circumstances.
